How long does a sealed surface last?
A premium Five Star seal typically holds up for five years or more before it needs a refresh. We back every job with a written 5-year warranty. Heavily trafficked driveways may want a top-up coat sooner; quiet patios often look factory-fresh well past the warranty window.
How much does it cost to seal my driveway?
Price depends on the size of the slab, the condition of the surface and which finish you choose (clear seal, colour seal, or a full recolour). Most residential driveways land in a tight range, and we give you a fixed price up front. Quotes are free and there’s no obligation to book.
How long does the job take?
Most residential jobs are wrapped in a day or two. We pressure wash on day one, let the surface dry, then apply the sealing or recolour. You’ll usually have a fully usable driveway again within 24 to 48 hours of the final coat.
Will sealing change the colour of my concrete?
A clear seal lifts the existing colour and adds a subtle sheen without changing the tone. A colour seal or full recolour lets you choose a new shade entirely. We’ll show you sample finishes during the quote so there are no surprises.
Is the surface slippery when wet?
We use an anti-slip additive in every coat, so the finished surface has plenty of grip. It’s safe around pool surrounds, paths and steep driveways. If you want extra grip for a high-traffic area, just mention it during the quote.
When can I drive on it again?
Foot traffic is fine within a few hours of the final coat. Light vehicle traffic is good after 24 hours. We recommend giving heavy vehicles 48 hours to be safe. We’ll talk you through the timing on the day so nothing’s in the way.
Do you seal new concrete?
Yes. Fresh concrete should be left to cure for at least 28 days before sealing, then it’s the perfect time to lock the surface in before stains, weather and UV do any damage. Sealing new concrete is the cheapest insurance you can buy for the slab.
